Mi Herzog has been painting for decades, starting with studio art classes at Ohio University. After a long break—for a life including an MBA and a career in marketing—she has resumed painting full time. She enjoys the transparency and flow of watercolor, but turns to gouache or acrylic for boldness and intensity of color. She paints widely—from the onions on the kitchen table to the cows of Point Reyes, from the boathouse on Jamaica Pond to the minarets of Uzbekistan.
She has a special interest in house portraits, in which she aims to capture the spirit of a family's home. She works from her studio in Boston, Massachusetts. |
